THE STORY BEHIND THE SOUND
Connor Hunt Music
ABOUT CONNOR
Connor Hunt is a Philadelphia-based multi-instrumentalist whose career has been shaped by live performance, collaboration, and constant evolution as a musician. With a primary focus on guitar, along with experience on drums and vocals, his sound blends rock, blues, and psychedelic influences with an emphasis on feel, dynamics, and improvisation.
He began playing in local bands at a young age, performing throughout Bucks County and the Lehigh Valley before expanding into larger venues, touring projects, and festival stages. Over the years, Connor has been involved in a wide range of musical projects; from high-energy punk and alternative bands to jam-oriented and psychedelic groups—giving him a versatile and adaptable approach to playing.
After relocating to Philadelphia, he immersed himself in the city’s music scene, performing regularly, collaborating with other artists, and developing a style rooted in both technical ability and real-world experience on stage. His performances have taken him across the Northeast and beyond, including appearances at well-known venues and regional festivals.
Today, Connor continues to perform with multiple projects, record new music, and share his knowledge through guitar instruction. Whether on stage, in the studio, or teaching, his focus remains the same: creating music that feels authentic, expressive, and connected.
PROJECTS & COLLABORATIONS
BANDS & PROJECTS
Connor has performed across a wide range of bands and collaborative projects, spanning punk, blues, psychedelic rock, and jam-driven music. His experience ranges from local venues to touring acts and festival stages, shaping a versatile and adaptive approach to live performance.
STREET VENGEANCE
A 4 piece punk grunge group constructed by the legendary Chipwreck. In 2018, I happened to live a block down the street from him in South Philly. Then he asked a random guy at the Chinese restaurant if he knew a bass player (which he happened to be). Before I knew it, I was in a new band. Blasted into notoriety at 19 years old, Chip started playing guitar in the first all black punk rock band Pure Hell in 1974. There he went on to play alongside and get to know the New York Dolls, the Dead Boys, Phil Lynott of Thin Lizzy, and even Sid Vicious himself. His caricature is even featured in the Netflix animated film “Wendell & Wylde." Today, we play some of his later repertoire including a song written with Wayne Kramer of the MC5. In the past we’ve opened for Joe Genaro of the Dead Milkmen and Walter Lure of Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreaks. Find us throughout Philly and NYC!
CHINCAT JUBILEE
Founding rhythm guitarist of Splintered Sunlight, Tommy Davis, curated a rotating lineup of musicians every Sunday in South Jersey. Members of Splintered Sunlight, SYF, Cosmic Jerry, and more would all come together without rehearsal. The magic was in the room and in us. Pierre Robert even MC’d our show at Woodstock Trading Co.
CON & CO
A 4-piece songwriting collab exploring rock, funk, alternative, and jazz. After debuting in venues around Philly, we played festivals throughout PA and WV before releasing two singles and a live album, Live from Brooklyn Bowl, where we opened up for Start Making Sense.
Creatures of Content
A psychedelic dance funk quintet from Reading, PA. We released a 3-song EP recorded at Shed Boogi Sessions in Maryland. Then, we embarked on a coast-to-coast tour in 2023, playing in staples like The Nick in Alabama, Your Mom’s House in Colorado, and Lefty’s in Iowa. It culminated with a headlining performance at Karnival of the Arts West in Jacumba, California.
SPACE RADIO
Formed as the second iteration of David Koster Band, Space Radio was an Americana big band that did big things in a small amount of time. Touring from Rockwood Music Hall in NYC, FirstLive in Brooklyn, to the Ohio State Theater in Springfield, to The Holding Company in San Diego, we captivated audiences with our onslaught of sonic expression. Eventually, We opened up for Umphrey’s McGee at the Stone Pony and Fat Mezz at the Ardmore Music Hall. Two live albums of performances at each venue were released.
SOLO & ACOUSTIC
In addition to full-band performances, Connor regularly performs solo and in acoustic settings, delivering stripped-down sets that highlight his musicianship, vocals, and connection with the audience. His solo work blends improvisation with familiar material, creating a more intimate live experience.
